Step #2 - Wish List

This step was created so that our program staff could learn of the organization's greatest strategic priorities and ensure that they align with The Foundation's frameworks. If an organization is selected for continuation after submitting its organizational overview form to The Foundation, the organization will be notified by a program staff member.

The program staff member will ask the organization to complete a wish list as the next critical step in the grant-making process.  The wish list phase is an opportunity for the organization to communicate its greatest immediate needs, innovative strategic priorities, and/or new program ideas.

If there does not seem to be an obvious program fit, The Foundation staff will work closely with the organization to determine if there is an alternative approach and/or other programs that were not listed initially.

When developing a wish list, the organization is asked to provide information on each wish that includes: the name of the program; an estimated cost; a description of why the program is needed; target audience; an analysis on the program's short and long-term impact; and a description of success measures.

This information will be discussed in an internal review session prior to seeking proposal from a organization.  A program staff member will contact the organization if it is selected for continuation in the process.  If not selected, a letter of declination will be sent.
